23.08.08 Seuran juhlapurjehdus (38)

4M (356M) Mukana Venla L, Janne J, Oiva A ja Pekka A. Heikkoa koillistuulta ja osittain tyyntä alkuosuudella. Siten jäätiin viimeistä edelliseksi veneeksi Sapokan aallonmurtajan edessä, kun ei ole niitä keveän tuulen purjeita.

Kun tuuli sitten heräsi niin ohiteltiin noin kymmenkunta kölivenettä.

Käytiin vielä kisan jälkeen Lehmässä juomassa kahvit ja kuuntelemassa keihäänheittokisa Pekingistä. Tero Pitkämäki tuli kolmanneksi.

23.08.08 Celebration sailing of our yacht club (38) 

4M (356M) Onboard Venla L, Janne J, Oiva A and Pekka A. Light northeast wind, partly no wind on the start part. So we were the second last boat on the starting part of the trip.

When the wind started blowing, we overtook about ten keelboats.

After the race we went to Island Lehmä to drink some coffee and listen the javelingcompetition in Peking. Tero Pitkämäki was third in the competition.

2M (351M) Mukana Yrjö K, Oiva A ja Pekka A. Heikohkoa lounaistuulta. Tultiin maaliin toisena.

Purjehduksen jälkeen vietiin vene purukentän laituriin, missä kaadettiin masto ja otettiin etupurje irti.

After the sailing we brought the boat to maintenance beach quay wher we brought down the mast and took off the foresail.

4M (yht 374M). Aamulla kävelyä rannalla merimetsoja ja joutsenia ihmetellen. Päivällä Lehmä kiertäen takaisin Sapokkaan.

2M (yht370M). Yksinpurjehdus Lehmään heikkenevässä iltatuulessa. Tällä kertaa laitoin Trimmun perä edeltä rantaan, niin pystyi helposti nousemaan maihin. Kävelyä hiekkarannalla ja grillailua illan jo hiipuessa yöksi.

2M (tot 370M). Lonely sailing to island Lehmä in light eveningwind. This time I put Trimmu so that the rear was towards shore. So I could get onshore easily. Walking on the beach and barbequeing when the evening darkens to night.

2M (yht368M) Mukana Yrjö K, Oiva A ja Pekka A. Tuuli lounaasta n 8 m/s. Lähtö onnistui suht hyvin. Luovilla mentiin alemmas kuin muut, mutta vauhdilla. Vasta maissa havaittiin, että kukaan ei ollut laittanut köliä alas. Etu purje oli puolet reivattuna, mutta luoviosuudella reivi poistettiin. Siten tultiin toisena maaliin. Vaikka luovilla alemmas kuin muut niin kovemmalla vaudilla. Parannettavaa jäi taas.

31.7.2008 Thorsdaysailing (32)

2M (tot 368 M) Onboard Yrjö K, Oiva A and Pekka A. The wind is from southwest app 8 m/s. The start succeeded well. We tacked lover than else, but with speed. We noticed after the finish line that the keel was in its upper position. The foresail was half reefed. So we came second to the finish line. So there is left a lot to make better.

Aamulla kalasteltiin ja syötiin ennen takaisinpurjehdusta. Aamu oli aurinkoinen ja tuuli koillisesta 6 - 8 m/s. Toinen Trimmun peräköysistä oli vedetty rantakiveen eikä vene tapaillut pohjaan vaikka syvyyttä oli vain polveen asti.

In the morning we fished and ate before sailing back to town. The morning was sunny and the wind came from northeasst 6-8 m/s. The other one of Trimmus backropes was droven to a stone in the shore. The boat did'n touch the bottom unless there were only water about 40 cm:s.


Kotimatkalla vastaan tuli varmaankin meripäiviltä pois purjehtiva Kaljaasi.

On the way to home  a galleon sailed towards us, we guessed that it was coming from sailing meeting days in Kotka.

Purjehdittiin Ristisaareen tarkoituksena ankkuroida saaren rantaan ja viettää yö siellä. Tuuli kääntyi kuitenkin pohjoiseen ja voimistui, niin päätettiin jatkaa matkaa varapaikkana olleeseen Långöhön.

We sailed to Island Ristisaari. We thoughed we could anchorice there and spend also a night there. The wind turned to north and strenghtened, so we decided to continue to Långö.



Perille päästiin noin seitsemältä. Teltan pystytyksen ja ruokailun jälkeen ehdittiin tutkia niemekkeen kalliotöitä ja ihailla kelokuusia.

We arrived to Långö at about 7 o'clock. After setting up a tent and eating we studied the stoneworks and old trees in the island.



Ilta pimeni ja taivaalta saattoi arvailla seuraavan päivän olevan myös poutapäivä.

It came night and we could only hope that the next day will be no rain.

(302M)Kaunis aurinkoinen päivä. Illalla lahdelle purjehti venäläinen purjevene, ajoivat aluksi lahden keskellä olevalle kivelle, mutta pienen neuvonnan jälkeen löysivät lahdet syvät rantautumispaikat. (Soitin kaverille ja kysyin mitä on venäjäksi matalaa, vasemmalle, oikealle.)

Huomenna olis tarkoitus tulla kotiin, toivottavasti tuuli ei tyynny.

Tässä lisäksi mitat ikkunasta verhoja varten.

(302M) Beautiful sunny day. In the evening one russian sailing boat came into the bay, first they collided on to a rock in the middle of the bay, but after a little conversation they found deep places to come on shore. (I phonet to my friend and asked what is on russian language swallow, to left to right.)

Tomorrow it is my meaning to come home, hopefully the wind doesn't die.

Here are also the dimensions for my sister to make the drapes.

(302 M)Kaunis aurinkoinen aamu. Tuuli on kääntynyt länteen.

Tiirat vartioi sataman viereistä kalliota kuten jo vuosia sitten kun kävin samalla saarella. Muita saaren lintuja Mustarastas, västäräkki, kalalokit ja isokoskelot. Merimetsoja lentelee silloin tällöin ohi toisiin saariin. Muitakin lintuja on, mutta niitä en tunnista.

(302M) Beautiful sunny morning. The wind has turned to west. 

Terns guard the rocks beside the harbour, like years before when I visited the Island. Other birds of the Island are blackbird, wagtail, mew and goosander. Cormorants fly past every now and then to other islands. There are olso other birds, but them I can't identify.

(yht 302M) Pekka A. Långössä kalalokilla kolme lentokykyistä poikasta, isokoskelolla 7.

Aamulla heikkoa koillistuulta, Trimmu kallion suojassa mihin aallot eivät ylety.

1,5h lenkki kallioilla. Muutamalta kalliolta pystyisi vaikka mato-ongella onkimaan, mikäli sellainen olisi mukana.

(tot 302M) Pekka A. A mew has flyable chicks, a goosander has seven chicks. In the morning the wind came from northeast, Trimmu was in safe place where the waves didn't make any harm.

I walked on the rocks about 1,5h. It might be possible to fish from some rocks, if I had the fishing rod with on this trip.

10M (yht 302M). Pekka A purjehti Långöhön heikossa etelätuulessa. Kaunissaaren luota piti ajaa koneella kun tuuli tyyntyi.

Päivä vesillä /A day on the sea

5.7.2008 Lauantaipurjehdus (20)

30M (yht 292M). Mukana Ulla J, Timo J ja Pekka A. Kierrettiin Kirkonmaa ja ankkuroitiin Lehmän länsirannalle. Kun kuultiin, että Ekku I oli tulossa Kaunissaaren pohjoispuolella itää kohti mentiin heitä vastaan. Jutskattiin heidän kanssa vielä Lehmän laiturilla ennnen Sapokkaan purjehtimista.

When we heard from sellphone, that our friend was coming towards east on the north side of Island Kaunissaari, we sailed towards them to say hellow. We wellcomed them to Kotka and then sailed home.
